About MedVault

MedVault is a fast-growing and profitable start-up with ambitions of changing the way we utilise data in healthcare. Our goal is to leverage the valuable data already being recorded by clinicians to improve the quality of care being delivered to patients and also to help reduce/automate administrative workflows. We aim to do this by building out a connected data platform across all critical healthcare sites starting in primary care. The MedVault platform is growing fast and is already deployed in over 400 healthcare sites covering over 2.5 million patients in Ireland alone. We are actively looking to hire exceptional talent to help us expand our existing platform and build new and exciting tools for our users.

The Opportunity

Now is an excellent time to join MedVault’s small but elite founding team. We have successfully navigated the earliest/riskiest stage of our startup journey in finding product market fit and are building significant momentum in the market. As one of the first five members of our team, you will have the opportunity to build significant equity in the company and thus will be expected to adopt a founders mentality from day one. This means taking a deep interest in the success of all elements of the business even if it isn’t part of your core competency.

In this role, you will sit at the core of the product and have a direct impact on customers, partners, and the platform. Given the company’s trajectory and depending on your own preference there is long-term opportunity for this role to grow into a CTO management position but if management is not for you and your preference is to keep closer to the tech this will also be accommodated.

At MedVault you will

• Work closely with the core leadership team to develop new tools to deliver high-quality data insights to our clients
• Optimise existing data pipelines and create new data pipeline architecture that will transform, aggregate, normalize, and master messy data
• You will identify and implement new features/processes that will enhance data reliability, efficiency, and quality
• Develop a fundamental understanding of how and why healthcare operates in the way that it does. Gain insight into the pain points of our clinical users and propose/test potential solutions.
• Build a national-scale data platform that will revolutionize the use of data in primary care.

You have

• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer architecting, building, launching and maintaining end-to-end data systems from whiteboard to production
• Strong programming experience in Python | SQL
• Familiarity with modern data stores, pipeline and orchestration tools
• 3+ years of experience with SQL databases.
• 3+ years of experience with optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets (structured and unstructured data sets).
• 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud services - S3, EC2, RDS and Lambda.
• 3+ years of experience with programming languages, e.g. Python and Java.
• 1+ years of experience with Snowflake data platform
• Useful Extras: Experience working with healthcare APIs like FHIR and experience with frontend design (Bootstrap & Ruby).

On top of your base salary we also provide equity incentives to early employees. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. This role is fully remote.
